Constitutional Court Accuses Thaçi and Kurti of Pressure and Influence

The Constitutional Court of Kosovo has reacted to the President and the Prime Minister of the country, complaining about pressure on its work, electronic media reported on Tuesday. According to the Court, President Hashim Thaçi and acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti “are trying to influence or prejudice the decision of the Constitutional Court on the issue of President's decree on appointment of the designated candidate for establishment of the new Government”. “The Constitutional Court strongly condemns this interference in its institutional independence, as well as the efforts of political and institutional stakeholders to involve the Constitutional Court in daily political debates,” the Court said in a statement ...Full story can be read through subscription.
